Alabama Youth Raises Money for Sumter Regional Hospital
Posted 06/27/2007
Alabama resident Virginia Frances Summers joined the long list of supporters of Sumter Regional Hospital when she presented the hospital with $50 she raised from a lemonade stand sell.

Virginia, who was born at SRH and is the granddaughter of SRH employee Virginia Watson, raised the money to help with the rebuilding of the hospital, which was hit by an EF3 tornado with 150-165 mph winds and left inoperable on March 1st.  She then delivered the money to her grandmother upon her next visit to Americus.

Here, Virginia poses with SRH Senior Vice President & COO Steve Machen, VP of Nursing Susie Fussell and Chief Financial Officer Troy Hammett.
