Sumter Regional Hospital Foundation Receives $25,000 from Edward B. Dunlap, Jr. Foundation
Posted 07/18/2007
While speaking at the Georgia Society of Hospital Engineers, Sumter Regional Hospital's Herschel Wisham's story about his tornado damaged hospital touched a lot of people, especially Jon Jacobsen.

After hearing Herschel's speech, Jacobsen, who works for roof systems company CENTIMARK, was so moved that he decided to try and help Sumter Regional Hospital.  He relayed the hospital's current situation to the president of his company, Edward Dunlap, Jr., who then turned the matter over to his own foundation.

This eventually led to the Edward B. Dunlap, Jr. Foundation donating $25,000 to Sumter Regional Hospital's Foundation in its recovery efforts.
