Posted 07/19/2007
Chevron, on behalf of the local Perry Brothers Oil Company, recently presented checks to both Sumter Regional Hospital and Sumter Disaster Recovery Fund (SDR), an umbrella entity designed to organize all the various long-term recovery efforts and funds in Sumter County, for $5000.

The $5000 given to the hospital will go towards the recovery of services for SRH, which was severely damaged by a March 1st tornado.

“The damage we had in the tornado makes us fully appreciate the opportunity to donate these gifts to our community that has meant so much to us in our past 50 years,” said Bill Perry of Perry Brothers Oil Company.
