Sumter Regional Hospital teams up with Sumter County School System in weight management program for students
Americus (Wed, April 11, 2007)
Sumter County School System Director of Federal Programs and Pupil Support Services Carolyn Brown recently announced that Sumter Regional Hospital and the Sumter County School System have formed a partnership to pro-actively work with volunteer families to assist them with weight reduction through positive lifestyle changes in nutrition and fitness activities in an after school program.

This initial eight-week program funded through a grant will hopefully pave the way for additional families to participate in future session.

The Sumter Regional Hospital Adolescent Weight Management Program is one of many medically managed outpatient programs that Sumter Regional was able to bring back on line quickly following the March 1st tornado.

Sumter Regional Hospital Outpatient Education programs staff is now located in the Habitat for Humanity Clarence Jordan Center Building E at the corner of Spring Street and International Blvd. Diagonally across from Discovery village and Shriver Lumber Company.
